    PRE-SEASON GIRLS TOURNAMENT

    Saturday 23 February 2019 – AIS Canberra

    The Blue Devils Pre-Season Girls Tournament is back at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) on Saturday, 23 February 2019. This is a great way to prepare your team for the commencement of the WNPL season in March.

    Who: the tournament is open to the women's National Premier League teams, development squads and equivalent.

    Where: all games will be played on the pristine AIS grass fields.

    When: Saturday 23 February 2019.

    Format: pools of five teams in each of the following age groups:
    • Under 17
    • Under 15
    • Under 13.
    Games are played on a full field and consist of two 20 minute halves, with a five-minute half-time break. Each team will play four games in total.

    Fees: $495 per team.

    A $50 deposit is required to accept your expression of interest form.

    COMPETITION STRUCTURE
    Clubs participating in the 2019 Blue Devils Tournament are represented by players from the following age groups: 

    U17 – Players who will be 17 as at 31 December 2019 and below
    U15 – Players who will be 15 as at 31 December 2019 and below
    U13 – Players who will be 13 as at 31 December 2019 and below. 

    Games are played on a full field and consist of 2 x 20 minute halves with a five minute half-time break. 

    REGISTRATIONS
    Team registrations should be organised by an authorised club official, such as the team manager or coach. An initial expression of interest form is required by Wednesday 13 February 2019. Once participation is confirmed, your final payment and team list is required by Tuesday 19 February 2019.

    This fee includes insurance cover for players registered for the 2019 Capital Football winter competition. Interstate teams’ insurance cover is provided by their local registration organisation, provided they are registered for the 2019 winter competition and have obtained a clearance (sanction) from the appropriate governing body. This governing body is the relevant football/soccer club, association, branch or State federation. Mandatory Capital Football insurance cover for players not registered for their relevant 2019 winter competition is $12 per player and is to be paid with the team’s registration.
